Care-free art

Want to let your kids paint without ruining the home while they’re at it? Let them paint in the bathroom, full of tile and glass that’s easy to clean up. Once the kids are done, set the little masterpiece aside and just wash the mess down the drain.

Location: Bathroom
Time of day: Evening
Duration: 40 minutes

Revel in the freedom of art without the mess.

How to make it all about the art, less about cleaning up

Making art is a creative and healthy way for kids to express their emotions. It helps them turn their imagination into reality and improves motor skills and creativity. Having your kids’ art around the house is beautiful and makes them proud of what they have created.

  • Place MÅLA drawing paper on the tiles or glass around the tub or shower. Use enough paper to really get creative.
  • Dilute water-based paints in the muffin tin or apply paint directly from the tube – or offer both!
  • Protect clothing with a long sleeve MÅLA apron.
  • Hand your child the brushes and let them create!
  • Remove the art when it's finished. Wash away any remaining paint on the surfaces. Being a painter's parent has never been easier.
