How to pay at IKEA

Whether you’re buying a new kitchen or just an IKEA hot dog, there are plenty of payment options. Which one is the best for you depends on where you’re shopping – and what you’re buying. ​

Paying at an IKEA store

When paying in IKEA stores, you can pay with Cash, Alipay, Wechat Pay, credit and debit cards including VISA, MasterCard and Union Pay, Apple Pay, Check, IKEA gift card and IKEA refund card.

Paying at IKEA online

When paying at IKEA online ( ikea.cn, Ikea App, Ikea wechat miniprograme) you can pay with Alipay, Wechat Pay, credit and debit cards including Union Pay.

Interest-free instalments

Am I eligible?  

Interest-free instalments are an IKEA Family Member privilege. Becoming a member is free of charge, and allows you to benefit from interest-free payment instalments and the IKEA yearly interest-free instalment quota. ​

What is the IKEA Member interest-free quota?   

The IKEA Member interest-free rate means that IKEA members can apply for instalment payments through the following banks and financial institutions.

ICBC, CCB, Bank of Communications, Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, China CITIC Bank, China Guangfa Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Postal Savings Bank of China and Huabei Pay, JD Baitiao.

The IKEA Member interest-free quota includes an annual fixed interest-free rate and a short-term event interest-free quota.   

1. If a member's accumulated expenses are within the quota limit, they can enjoy the IKEA interest-free benefit. If a member's accumulated expenses exceed the interest-free quota, the benefit will not apply to them. A single order cannot be split in order to pay in instalments, and split amounts cannot be paid in instalments. 
2. If the order status is awaiting payment, the interest-free quota will be locked. Once the order status is changed to "cancelled", the interest-free quota will unlock. 
3. The fixed interest-free quota cannot be used in conjunction with other large-scale, nationwide promotions. Please refer to the relevant IKEA promotion page details.  

Yearly fixed interest-free quota  

The annual fixed interest-free quota cycle runs from 1 September of the previous year to 31 August of the following year  

The annual quota limit for the instalment period is 20,000  

• If the order amount for a single order exceeds CNY900, payment can be split in 3 interest-free instalments.
• If the order amount for a single order exceeds CNY2900, payment can be split in 3 or 6 interest-free instalments .

Short-term interest-free quota  

Occasionally, IKEA will offer additional time-limited, interest-free promotions. During these promotions, IKEA will issue short-term interest-free quotas from selected financial institutions for members to enjoy. Once a promotion ends, the remaining interest-free quota will automatically void upon expiry.

How can I pay in instalments?   

Offline payment:  

1. Log in as a member in the IKEA app and show your membership number.  
2. Click "My"-"Instalment payments" to show your instalment payment number.  
3. Once the instalment number is scanned, select the instalment platform and amount, and complete payment.  
4. You will start paying according to your selected instalment plan. For details, please refer to your monthly bank statement or Alipay account information.  

Offline payment: 

1. Before placing your order, please ensure that your IKEA Family Member account is linked. ​
2. When placing your order, select the "Pay in instalments" option, then select the instalment platform and amount, and complete payment. ​
3. You will start paying according to your selected instalment plan. For details, please refer to your monthly bank statement or Alipay account information.  

Notes:  

1. The instalment payment service is applicable to all IKEA product purchases. It is provided by credit card issuers, Ant Group (Huabei) and JD Group (JD Baitiao) for residents in mainland China who meet the terms and conditions. Use of the instalment payment service by IKEA members is subject to review by the credit card issuer or Ant Financial. In the event of overdue instalment payments, your bank or Ant Group will charge a delinquency fee. Please refer to the official website of your credit card issuer or Alipay for relevant terms, fees and charges.  
2. The bank credit card instalment is available in IKEA offline channels, IKEA app, www.IKEA.com, IKEA China Remote Customer Meeting point: 4008002345/online customer service; Huabei is applicable in IKEA offline channels, IKEA app, www.IKEA.com, IKEA Mini-Program, IKEA China Remote Customer Meeting point: 4008002345/online customer service; JD Baitiao is applicable in IKEA app.
3. The monthly payment shown on the IKEA app represents an estimated amount. Your monthly payment amount will be calculated by your instalment provider and is the quote displayed on your monthly invoice.
4. The above instalment payment service is only applicable to retail customers. 
5. Customers making purchases with a special instalment credit card are not eligible for this instalment payment service.
