Add bulbs, doors and panels

It’s easy to add light sources like bulbs, doors and panels to your remote control.

1. Install the light source and turn the main power switch on.

2. Keep the remote within 5 cm from the light source and press the pairing button for 10 seconds (located under the remote control lid).

3. A red light will shine on the remote control and when it’s successfully paired, the light source will dim and flash one time.

Add several bulbs

If you have a light source with more than one light bulb that sit close together, you’ll need to pair them one by one. Install your first light bulb, pair it and then remove it. Then install the second light bulb, pair it and remove it, etc. Do this with all the light bulbs.

Remove bulbs, doors or panels

To remove a smart bulb, a light door or a light panel from your remote control, turn on the light source. Keep the remote within 5 cm from the light source. Press the pairing button for 10 seconds (located under the remote control lid). The light source will dim and flash one time when it’s disconnected.

Add a light bulb to the TRÅDFRI dimming kit

To extend your TRÅDFRI dimming kit with another bulb, install the bulb and turn the main power switch on. Keep the wireless dimmer within 5 cm from the bulb. Press the pairing button for 10 seconds (located under the top cover). When it’s successfully paired, the light source will dim and flash one time.

Add a light bulb to the TRÅDFRI motion sensor

To extend your TRÅDFRI motion kit with another bulb, install the bulb and turn the main power switch on. Keep the motion sensor within 2 cm from the bulb and press the pairing button for 10 seconds (located on the back). When it’s successfully paired, the light source will dim and flash one time and a red light will shine on the front of the motion sensor.
