Oven pancake with apples & almonds

Need a new twist on traditional pancakes? Try this easy-to-make oven pancake! Depending on what you serve it with, it’s the perfect snack, dessert, or meal for any time of day.

Serves: 2-4 | Time:  35 minutes

Ingredients

Oven pancake with apples & almonds
60 g MUNSBIT roasted and lightly salted almonds
2 dl wheat flour 1 small apple
4 dl milk
2 eggs
2 ml salt
1 tsp butter for the dish 

Step by step:

  1. Heat the oven to 225C. Meanwhile, grease an oven dish that is approximately 26x20 cm.
  2. Whisk flour and 2 dl of the milk until a smooth batter forms. Add eggs, salt, and the remaining milk. Pour the mixture into the dish.
  3. Thinly slice the apple and place it in the dish.
  4. Bake in the oven for approximately 25 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, chop the almonds.
  6. The pancake is ready when it’s golden brown. Top it with chopped almonds.
  7. Serving: For a satisfying dessert, serve the pancake with jam and whipped cream. If you want to eat it as a main dish, serve it with lingonberry jam and crispy bacon.
