Handle tempered glass with care; never use if damaged, scratched or chipped, and avoid rapid temperature changes that might cause sudden breakage.

Avoid exposing tempered glass to sudden temperature changes, for example by taking a cold oven dish straight from the refrigerator and placing it in a hot oven or by heating it in a microwave oven.

Glass is fragile; to extend the life of tempered glass, keep the surface scratch-free, for example by avoiding metal scrubbers or contact with cutlery in the dishwasher.
