How to buy a kitchen

Step 1. Measure

Take the first step towards your dream kitchen!

To do: Measuring

• So you get an accurate, easy to use kitchen plan that works with the IKEA Home Planner 3D tool, make sure you measure in millimetres
• Remember to mark on your plan the location of electrical sockets, water connections and anything that sticks out, like radiators and pipes

Step 2. Dream & plan

To do: Planning

• Enter your kitchen measurements into the IKEA Home Planner 3D tool and start planning your kitchen
• Remember to save your plan and set up an account with a unique username and password. This makes ordering even easier

Step 3. Order

You’re nearly there! Your dream kitchen will soon be a reality.

• You can place your order at your local IKEA store with a member of our kitchen design staff
• If you’re ordering in store you’ll need a print-out of your kitchen plan or your IKEA Home Planner username and password to access your plan on the IKEA Home Planner 3D tool
• Before placing your order, our kitchen planning staff will go through your design to make sure everything’s OK

Step 4. Install

The final step! Soon you can start living in your new kitchen.

• Remember to follow the printed assembly instructions of each product before installation
• Install your products in the correct order
• Always employ a professional to undertake any electrical and plumbing work
