A sea-inspired space for dreams and creativity
The ocean and the wonderful creatures that live in it provide a lot of the inspiration for this modern-style room for a tween. It might be a tricky area with a sloping ceiling but there’s still plenty of space for creativity, friendship and growing.
Space for friends as well
Friends are always very welcome and there’s a second bed for extra sofa space and sleepovers. The white of the beds, walls and ceiling, and the blue and turquoise in the textiles add to the saltwater mood in this bed/hang-out corner.
A creative area at the centre of the room
There’s plenty of creative space at these two desks. No need to move an ongoing work of art out of the way to do homework, for example. Their white surfaces are like a blank canvas where new projects can begin.
Storage to suit the space and the look
This storage has a range of frames of different sizes and shapes, so you can create a combination that suits even unusual spaces, like under the sloping ceiling here. We chose white, grey and green-grey boxes that blend in nicely with the look of the room.
Drawers for storage and display
Repeating the same chest of drawers in a line doesn’t just provide plenty of storage to organise clothes in. It also gives you a calm look, plus lots of space on top to show off homemade works of art.
