A guide to beds with a wooden-base spring mattress
A wooden-base spring mattress is almost a complete bed. You just need to add legs and a mattress pad. In fact, with some of our options, these are already included. If you want, you can also have a headboard with many wooden-base spring mattress beds, too. See below for tips about bed frames and divan beds.
What size of bed do you want?
Wooden-base spring mattresses come in a good range of sizes to help you get what you want. You'll find a variety of widths to choose from. When you order online, you can use the size menu on the product page of your wooden-base spring mattress to choose your size. And with some wooden-base spring mattresses, you can also choose your level of firmness using a similar menu.
Legs for style and height
Legs come in different styles and materials to help you set the look of your bed. You can choose between lengths of 20 cm and 10 cm to create a slightly higher or lower bed. The longer legs mean you can use under bed storage boxes – very handy, specially if you're short of space.
Turning empty space into storage
If you go for the 20 cm legs, you can use under bed storage boxes. They're a great way to keep things like bed linen near at hand and specially helpful if you don’t have a lot of space. Some bed storage boxes have castors to make them super easy to pull out.
Would you like a headboard?
You don’t need one to complete your bed but a headboard can add a distinctive, personal touch and extra softness to your whole bedroom. Some wooden-base spring mattress options include a headboard or you can often add one to complement your choice.
