Handle tempered glass with care; never use if damaged, scratched or chipped, and avoid rapid temperature changes that might cause sudden breakage.

Avoid exposing tempered glass to sudden temperature changes, such as placing a cold glass lid in a hot oven.

Glass is fragile; to extend the life of tempered glass, keep the surface scratch-free, for example by avoiding metal scrubbers or contact with cutlery in the dishwasher.
