  • Before using your proofing basket for the first time, it should be treated as follows: Moisten the proofing basket with water. Sprinkle flour over the basket. Tip and gently shake out excess flour and allow the proofing basket to dry.

    Place the dough in the proofing basket and cover it with the included cloth. Once the dough has risen, place the bread on a baking tray and put it in the oven.

    Dust the proofing basket with flour before each use, make sure the flour covers all surfaces and gets in all grooves. Tip and gently shake out excess flour.

    The first times you use the proofing basket, you may need to use extra flour to prevent the dough from sticking. It can take up to three uses before the proofing basket works optimally.

    A cotton/linen blend which combines the softness of cotton with the shine and firmness of linen.

    Rattan is a natural material giving small variations in colour and appearance.

    Do not use the proofing basket in the oven.

    Hand wash the proofing basket with cold water 1-2 times per year or as needed. Do not use detergent.

    Allow the basket to air dry before storing it away.
