- "I always want to design products that feel timeless and genuine, both in shape and material. The EVEDAL series is inspired by Scandinavian design from the mid-20th century and my goal is for them to be lamps that you want to keep your entire life, and maybe even pass down to the next generation. The most characteristic thing about it is its outer shade in coloured glass which encloses the inner shining light ‒ something that I think gives the lamp a beautifully poetic look."Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
