Make a secret pegboard storage station

One day our interior designer Emma was singing the praises of SKÅDIS pegboard to her carpenter husband, who came up with an idea to hide it in a cabinet. Check out how they made DIY storage behind closed doors.

First, paint IVAR inside and out. For it to really blend in, use the same colour as your wall paint. Chalkboard paint on the doors’ insides makes room for messages, too. Attach SKÅDIS to IVAR. Secure the whole thing to your wall. Add accessories like clips, containers, a roll holder and a shelf. Ta-da! Thanks for sharing, crafty couple.

We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
