Home visit: update an IVAR cabinet with paint
Give furniture a new look with a bold paint makeover. Marion uses brightly coloured paint to give untreated wooden furniture a unique look. Here’s how she transformed her IVAR cabinet…
You will need: a piece of untreated wooden furniture, a large paintbrush and a smaller one, masking tape, and paint in your choice of colour.
1. Mask out the shape you want to paint on the surface, using tape.
2. Starting from the masking tape, fill in your design with paint. Use the large brush for flat surfaces and the smaller one for edges and recesses.
3. Once the paint has dried, carefully peel off the masking tape to reveal a sharp edge to your painted geometric shape!
