A natural way to a cosy bedroom

A good night’s sleep has a lot to do with how you prepare for it. We have some advice that will make you long for bedtime.

Nordic and natural

Give your bedroom a new look – and improve your sleep in the process. This style has its roots in a Scandinavian tradition of simplicity, characterised by light wooden tones and natural materials. Double duvets for fluffy cosiness and flowing curtains add an airy feel, all complemented by the BJÖRKSNÄS collection of birchwood bedroom furniture.

I like the idea of a bedroom that puts me at ease. I want to keep it simple, and decorate with things that have a calming effect.

Go for bedroom storage without hard edges

Soften up your storage to perfectly blend with the rest of the room. Use round shapes, like handwoven seagrass baskets for your smaller things. And why not store rolled-up shirts and jeans in baskets made from soft felt material?

Pick materials that help you sleep well

Your quality of sleep has a lot to do with the materials you’re in direct contact with. Their texture, how much warmth they bring. Come see and feel at your nearest IKEA store. Or browse around online. Find your cosiest combination of mattress, pillow, duvet and mattress topper – then be sure to set an alarm.

We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
