3 ways to get some sleep
Your bedroom just might be the most important space in your home, so why not give yours a boost in comfort? It’s where you recharge, rest, and sometimes share space and connect with your partner. It has endless possibilities to nurture you and your family and can make all the difference in your comfort, both emotionally and physically.
Casual comfort
Go for ultimate comfort by layering on several duvets (perfect if your partner tends to run hotter or cooler and prefers a different duvet thickness), throws, pillows and textiles in 100% breathable cotton. Choose your colour scheme and mix and match textiles that use the same palette for a laid-back, less matchey look.
As for the mattress, we chose a pocket spring mattress for its unique ability to support you in all the right places, and topped it off with a mattress pad for good measure. The bed frame even includes storage drawers for bed linens and anything else you might need to stow away.
The at-home hotel experience
If you can think of nothing more luxurious than nights spent in luxe hotel suites, this style is for you. We picked our highest mattress and added a thick mattress topper for an extra plush feel. Layer on a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, a double size duvet, a spread to fold at the foot of the bed, and (this is key) lots and lots of fluffy pillows.
The real secret to this style’s comfort? It’s in the quality of the sheets and the duvet cover. The duvet cover used here is made of densely woven cotton percale. In other words, you won’t want to get out of bed.
When less is more
In many ways, an uncluttered space can calm and comfort you. So if you subscribe to the less-is-more maxim, you’ll do well with this style.
Create a sleek look by first opting out of adding a mattress topper. Add a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and a duvet. Simply roll the flat sheet back with the duvet and tuck them both in to create a clean, neatly made bed. Go easy on the patterns and colours of the textiles, and enjoy your new-found serenity.
We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
