The importer Finetrading recalls IKEA MÜSLI muesli with dried berries 500 g due to traces of mould exceeding legal requirements. Customers, who bought this product after March 2019, are kindly asked to return the product to any IKEA store for a full refund. The recall will start from 8th May 2020 and last for one month.
Food safety is an IKEA top priority. Customers should always feel confident that food products sold and served at IKEA are safe to consume.
The importer Finetrading has received a test report from Shenzhen Market Supervision Authority. The result indicates traces of mould in IKEA MÜSLI muesli with dried berries 500 g that exceeds legal requirements for mould in China.
There have been no reports of customers experiencing any negative health effects after consuming the MÜSLI however; all IKEA food product types are continuously tested and shall comply with applicable standards and legislation, as well as IKEA quality requirements. As a precautionary measure IKEA has immediately stopped sales of the affected MÜSLI in all IKEA stores in the mainland of China and has started an ongoing investigation.
