IKEA is recalling KULLEN 3-drawer chest in the mainland of China
IKEA has got instruction from the Shanghai Market Supervision and Administration to recall the KULLEN 3-drawer chest in mainland China.
If this chest of drawers is not anchored to the wall according to the assembling instruction with the provided tip-over restraints, it might theoretically tip-over. The KULLEN 3-drawer chest is safe to use if attached to the wall, as per the assembly instruction. Which is also required by the Chinese standard.
IKEA has not identified any stability related reports for the KULLEN 3-drawer chest in China, after more than 14 years on the market. IKEA stands by the safety of our products.
IKEA want to remind our customers to check so that their chests of drawers are properly anchored to the wall with the provided tip-over restraint.
For customers willing to continue to use KULLEN 3-drawer chest, IKEA will provide customers with the following options for choosing between March 4, 2020 and June 3, 2020: 1. A free wall-anchoring kit to be picked up at an IKEA store, 2. A free express home-delivery of a wall-anchoring kit, 3. A free installation service of wall anchoring kit. During this period, customers who would like to return the product, could also directly return it to the IKEA store or contact IKEA customer support centre. Secure It!
