“When designing ceramic patterns for FÖSSTA Chinese New Year collection I became passionate about art from the Tang dynasty. This was a golden age of reform and cultural advancement attracting many people from further west, increasing the cultural diversity. The empire saw a flowering of creativity with new shapes and patterns visible in art, pottery and architecture. It was such an exciting period and it continues to inspire today – as you can see in this collection.”
