Update IKEA Japan March 29
[International]  The IKEA Kohoku store in Tokyo re-opened on March 28th. The two other IKEA stores in the Tokyo Funabashi, and Shin-Misatu remain closed until further notice.
The safety of our co-workers is important; therefore IKEA at an early stage offered all co-workers and their families around Tokyo, as well as the co-workers transferred to Japan by IKEA, to relocate temporarily. Most of the co-workers have now returned to the Kanto area on a voluntary basis.

IKEA Japan continues the in-kind donations of, among other things, food, lighting, mattresses and quilts to the people in the affected areas. Long-term support is being planned in cooperation with UNICEF and Save the Children..

IKEA is closely monitoring the situation in Japan after the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear incidents and follow the recommendations from WHO and other organizations.
